Even after I manually compiled the ArgyllCMS v2.3.0 libraries native to M1 I could barely make it function. 17:20:47,039 Returning 'CVSpyder.dll' length 86016 from 'Spyder2express_2.3.6_Setup.exe' Displa圜AL treats the Spyder5 (or rebadged Spyder 5s, like the Eizo EX3) as a full Spyder5 sensor, without artificially imposed limits on settings etc, and is thus the the vastly better software option for use with the cheaper members of the Spyder5 series. It can work, but Displa圜al does not yet offer an M1 native version and there are lot of bugs with it. 17:20:47,039 Located and decompressed file 'CVSpyder.dll' from VISE archive 17:20:47,039 Located driver file 'CVSpyder.dll' at offset 0x1972a0 ![]() 17:20:47,039 Located driver entry 'CVSpyder.dll' at offset 0x8c691 17:20:39,717 oeminst: Error - Didn't locate any files to install - no CD present ? 17:20:39,716 Looking for CDROM to install from. 17:20:39,716 Looking for 'C:\Program Files/X-Rite/Devices/i1d3/Calibrations/.edr' 17:20:39,716 Looking for 'C:\Program Files/Datacolor/Spyder4TV HD/dccmtr.dll' 17:20:39,714 Looking for 'C:\Program Files/Datacolor/Spyder4Elite/dccmtr.dll' 17:20:39,714 Looking for 'C:\Program Files/Datacolor/Spyder4Pro/dccmtr.dll' 17:20:39,714 Looking for 'C:\Program Files/Datacolor/Spyder4Express/dccmtr.dll' 17:20:39,713 Looking for 'C:\Program Files/PANTONE COLORVISION/ColorPlus/CVSpyder.dll' 17:20:39,713 Looking for 'C:\Program Files/ColorVision/Spyder2pro/CVSpyder.dll' 17:20:39,713 Looking for 'C:\Program Files/ColorVision/Spyder2express/CVSpyder.dll' 17:20:39,713 Looking for OEM install files. 17:20:39,632 Looking for install at 'C:\Program Files (x86)\ColorVision\Spyder2 \CVSpyder.dll' Remove the driver from the devices management panel and reinstall it And every time I click on "Enable Spyder 2 Colorimeter", the pop-up to load the package appears, again and again. The problem is that it doesn't start if I go to options > Detect display devices and instruments, if I click the blue arrow or if I click on automatically detect instruments. I launch the software, I go to "Enable Spyder 2 Colorimeter", I try both 2.3.5 and 2.3.6 packages available on datacolor website (on my hard drive and on a usb drive), and I have the message "Spyder 2 successfully enabled". Is the Macbook display (with its limited manual controls) simply not fit for the job? Here's a screenshot of the profile information I got after calibrating.I am trying to make a Spyder 2 Express work on Microsoft 7 64 bits but I cannot find the solution. So if you are trying to calibrate just a TV, I would suggest HCFR as the best tool. It will generate a icc file that is used in the computer by certain software (but not most). Displa圜al is really for calibrating a computer/monitor combination. After re-calibrating, I compared some recently printed images with how they're displayed in Lightroom, and again, they don't match at all: Looking at the prints and the display side-by-side, the prints have a distinct yellowish hue (or the images on the display a reddish hue). I would suggest using HCFR with the AVSHD 709 patterns disc. The lab I'm working with offers Soft Proofing Profiles for Lightroom, and they also give instructions on the setting I should use to calibrate my display: 5000 K, 2.2 gamma, and 120 cal. However – today I focused on creating a color-controlled environment for printing with my almost new MacBook Pro 13" 2018. So are you all saying that calibrating in many cases will not lead to accurate color rendition? Should I get an external monitor for this?
